Panaji, Jan 30: Those who subscribe to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the RSS ideology, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, believe they know everything and never ask others about their ideas and thoughts, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said on Monday.

Hours after appearing before a magistrate in Maharashtra’s Thane district in connection with a defamation case, Gandhi told a poll rally in Goa that Congress leaders in the courtroom were all smiles, while members of the RSS group who had filed the defamation case against him were glum and serious.Addressing a poll rally in Mapusa legislative assembly constituency, located a short distance from here, Gandhi said: ‘Today I was in Bhiwandi.
My case is going on. My RSS case. There were Congress people. I was there. Ashok Chavan was there. Sanjay Nirupam was there. (both Maharashtra Congress leaders) The man who had filed the case was sitting behind me. Their other folk were there too. Where members of the Congress were smiling, RSS leaders were sitting seriously.’ Gandhi faces a defamation trial in the Bhiwandi court, after he was sued for blaming the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in one of his speeches last year.In his poll speech, Rahul Gandhi also shared a conversation he had with his sister Priyanka, where he claims both discussed why those who follow the BJP ideology are so ‘angry’.’I do not know what is the reason. They do not smile. They speak well. But it appears that the world is angry. Like how many people are happy in Goa, they are angry. I thought about it a lot. People of BJP ideology, why are they so angry? The answer is, they think they know everything,’ he said.’In Parliament, when there is a discussion they say you do not understand this. They believe they know everything. And what happens is when the truth emerges to be something else they get angry,’ Gandhi said.He also accused Modi of suffering from the same malady.’Has Modi told anyone, to speak out their Mann ki Baat’,’ he said in an obvious reference to the Prime Minister’s monthly radio address to the nation, Mann ki Baat.’Did Modi ji ask anyone in Goa, tell me what is in your heart. This is not Modi ji or RSS or BJP style, but this is the Congress style,’ Gandhi said.IANS
